Terms

Soap-Making Classes

  • Safety & Waivers: Due to the use of caustic materials (lye) and power tools (stick blenders), all participants must sign a liability waiver prior to the start of the class. We provide safety goggles and aprons, and wearing them is highly encouraged while handling raw soap batter.
  • Attire: We highly recommend wearing clothes that are suitable to be stained. For your added comfort and protection against accidental splashes, closed-toe shoes and long pants or sleeves are also recommended.

Animal Experiences & Farm Visits

  • Interaction Rules: For the safety of both our guests and our livestock, all visitors must follow the instructions of the staff. Animals must be treated with respect and gentle handling at all times. Chasing, harassing, or feeding the animals unauthorized food is strictly prohibited.
  • Supervision: All minors must be accompanied and directly supervised by a responsible adult during any animal interactions.
  • Biosecurity & Hygiene: To protect the health of our herd, guests are required to wash or sanitize their hands before and after interacting with the animals.

Livestock Sales & Registration

  • Registration: Registration is unique based on the organization.
    • For Goats: You are responsible for submitting the paperwork to get your goat registered. All our goats are registered through the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA).
    • For KuneKune Pigs: We, the breeder, are responsible for registering your pig. KuneKune Pigs are registered through the American KuneKune Pig Society (AKKPS).
  • Animal Pickup & Returns: Only healthy animals leave our property. To maintain proper biosecurity, animals cannot be returned once they have left the premises.

General Ranch Policies

  • Right of Refusal: For the safety and well-being of our guests, staff, and animals, we reserve the right to refuse service or ask any visitor to leave the property if they fail to follow safety instructions, disrupt activities, or behave in a way that endangers themselves, others, or the livestock.
